Countdown holding at T minus one

We are in St Jean Pied De Port, a small town that is a starting point of the Camino Frances. It is a very pretty town nestled in the hills with a river running through it. We are staying in the old part of town within the town walls.

It’s overcast when we arrive and the news on the bag front is Air France have found one bag that should arrive on Monday.

We look at the situation as a chance to get over jet lag, rest up and enjoy our surroundings together.

We “officially” start the Camino by getting our pilgrim passports that allow us to stay in albergues along the way.

The first of what I trust will be many stamps in my passport.

The pilgrims office in the old part of town.

The weather forecast is rain for Monday and sunshine on Tuesday so being delayed has its up side!

We take in the views from the citadel before sunset.

By the end of the day the word from Air France is they have found both our bags. We live in hope!
