Day Three

Legs quiver unexpectedly, knees burn

Water quenches thirst

The air is thick with weary snores

Larrasoaña to Pamplona

The albergue at Larrasoaña was basic but it provided a shower and a roof. There were no lights to come on but most people were up at 6am anyway.

We set off at 7am and walked 5km to Zurián for breakfast – bocadillo con queso and a cup of tea. Today’s bocadillo (bread roll) had capsicum and zaartar (brought from home) added.

It was a pleasant walk to Pamplona with high clouds keeping the temperature down in the morning.

We have covered 17km in 5.5 hours today.

There are vegetarian restaurants in Pamplona so we are staying the night here!
