Day Eight

Torres Del Río to Logroño
Fi is relishing walking in the morning. It’s the best time of day. Cool breezes after another hot night. The hills don’t seem so steep.

The lights of a far off town shimmered in yesterday’s heat haze.

The hill track snaked its way down and we had the feeling we were leaving this beautiful countryside behind.

Occasionally walking on the roads that were converging with the track more often now.

There are distant mountains to our left and our right escorting us on.

The peace and the pace of the countryside fade as we enter the city of Logroño before the temperature soares over 30 degrees. We enjoy a wholistic lunch at Camino Vegano. It felt really good.

Today we walked 21km. The next stop is too far to get to before the temperature gets extreme. Time to rest.
