Day Twenty One

Romani ite domum

– Life of Brian

Reliegos to León

Starting before the dawn broke we walked to León, named after the Latin for Legion (when the Romans were here). It was along roads, industrial estates and pavements so a contrast to the previous day’s countryside solitude. Although we had some pleasant breaks through parks and villages on the outskirts.

We walked 24km and will take a rest day tomorrow and hopefully get some acupuncture and supplies.

The old part of León is very picturesque with a maze of lanes and squares.
