Day Twenty Eight

What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.

Molinaseca to Cacabelos

Walking through sunrise to Ponferrada we had breakfast near the castle. Legs ached from yesterday so we’re glad it’s flat today.

Back out into the countryside, passing vineyards and a pumpkin patch Fi greeted the great pumpkin.

Walking day after day we cross paths with people we’ve got to know well. Petra, who we frist met in a thunderstorm in Burgos and is a kindred spirit was standing at a water fountain wondering if she would see us again as we rounded the bend. We all walked together to Cacabelos, checked into a nice hostel and shared stories into the evening.

We gave Harry a call as we hadn’t seen him today and he was a couple of villages behind us and cheery as ever. He was grateful for the call and we were all relieved to know he was still on the way and taking it slowly.

Today we reached the 600km mark since we started in France four week ago.
