Day Thirty Four

Palas de Rei to Arzúa
Another misty morning. Crisp air.

After 6km of walking we stopped for breakfast in a small village with one cafe. It soon filled up and we were saying good morning to a lot of familiar faces. When we left I realised we knew everyone in the cafe, from the ladies that saved us from a steep climb in Estella on day seven to Michael who we had dinner with a few nights before and friends from all the places inbetween.

The day was spent going up and down hills with more down than up, admiring the countryside and it’s residents, enjoying the moment and each other’s company.

We met up with Chuck in the vegetarian Albergue in Arzúa and found out he was vegetarian too.

Castaneda, where we hoped to stop was full so we walk on and did over 30km today.
