We packed up the tent quietly in the dark. The campsite had really filled up with cyclists doing the Brest-Nantes canal.
We enjoyed walking along the canal in the dawn and the cool air. We made good progress, this could be because my battery bank to charge our phones had run down and we needed to save battery for navigation – so my great camera person (Fi) wasn’t working today! We passed 8 locks and saw one in action.
The trees thinned out as the sun rose and we were glad to see the signs for our Gîte as the temperature climbed. The Gîte owner, Mme Morrisset, kindly lent us two bicycles to get into town (3.5km) to go shopping! We walked about 25km today and enjoyed it!
The Gîte is shared and only cost €38.
