A leisurely 12km walk to Clisson was through vineyards. We met Claude who looked after us yesterday and showed us to the Gîte which was great because I didn’t get a photo yesterday! When he talked to me about the Camino I could feel how much it meant to him.
The walk was through a lot of vineyards which produce Muscadet grapes.
We stopped by the river for a coffee at a lovely restaurant/auberge and then a short walk into Clisson to see the castle and find our hotel. This marked a milestone in our journey as we have now walked across Brittany. Tomorrow sees us venturing into Vendée.
The Best Western Plus – Villa Saint Antoine (€212) has a view of Château de Clisson, built in the 13th century. It also has a spa but it’s closed today!
Happy Cow (https://www.happycow.net/) told us about a Vietnamese restaurant that did a great vegan meal only 1km from the hotel.
It was great to bump into Claude today. I’m sure he’d love meeting everyone in the Blue Mountains Camino group back in Aus!
