With a long days work ahead we started at 5.30am from Clisson. Past the castle and into the countryside, across fields and along country roads. The breeze kept us cool and we made good time to Montaigu where I managed to get a haircut! Another 7km to our Gîte in Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu after shopping for food.
Today marks the half-time point in the French Chapter as we have 26 more days to get to Saint Jean Pied de Port. With no rest days we are already 3 days behind schedule so it may take a Camino miracle to get us there in time to meet my sister Julia who is joining us on the Camino Frances.
The Gîte we are staying at is great (€50), we could check-in as soon as we arrived in Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu.
