The French Chapter – Day 32 – Saint-Michel-le-Cloucq to Maille

We left before sunrise along roads and fields with our intended destination being Maillazais. We made it before mid-day and came across the first shop we’d seen since Chantonnay, two and a half days ago, so we restocked. We also saw the first restaurant since Chantonnay so we had a galette and a couple of cold ones. We were feeling pretty good so we carried on to Maille, another 6km along the path. We managed to get a glamping tent (€35) in the campsite there and shorten the walk tomorrow! Today we walked 31km.

We passed a 1437km to Santiago sign today – that’s 37km more than the one yesterday! Who measures them!
