The Spanish Chapter – Day 33 – Liñares to Triacastela

We watched dawn break over the mountains from the comfort of our beds. After breakfast and sunrise we walked up to Alto de San Roque and the statue of the wild swept pilgrim. Down and up to Alto de Poio and then the descent started towards Triacastela, passing a 400 year old chestnut tree. It was a fine day for walking.

We checked into Pensíon-Albergue Lemos (€45) after some refreshments with Phil and Carol on the way into town.

We’re going for the pilgrims meal later…
